May is a month of monumental shifts. Venus has moved into Aries following Mercury, as they wrap up their retrograde cycles. Mercury has already left its shadow, and Venus officially exits her post-retrograde shadow on 5/16 when she reaches 10° Aries, the place where her retrograde began back in February. Mars is in Leo and will finally reach 6°, completing its exhausting seven-month retrograde cycle in Cancer/Leo. So, the personal planets are out of the emotional waters and into the active fire signs. The pace will pick up in our day-to-day lives. With Mercury and Venus in hot-headed Aries, we may feel the urge to impulsively react, which will soften as Mercury moves into Taurus on the 10th. Remember, Venus is in her sign of detriment until June 6th: it's not what we say, but how we say it...But say it!

Pluto begins its first full retrograde cycle in Aquarius in our lifetime on 5/4. This annual five-month review ends on October 13th. This dismantling of power dynamics personally and collectively, will uncover and unleash the knowledge of injustices, showing us where we have been giving our power away. This deep, revelatory phase brought to us by the Lord of the underworld will be opening up space for revolutionary new systems to be implemented. We will have a Scorpio Full Moon on the 12th at 22°, echoing the theme of transformation. The opposing Taurus Sun will be in conjunction with Uranus, an aspect which will perfect on the 17th at 27°. Sudden changes could come in around our personal resources and/or a geopolitical spotlight, indicating the closing of chapters and ushering in new innovations and unconventional approaches to sustainability moving forward. The Scorpio Moon will be in a harmonious Water trine to Saturn and the North Node in Pisces, upping the ante on the need for closures in order to move ahead. The Sun and Uranus will be in a supportive sextile to Saturn and Neptune, asking us to pivot in a different direction. Take the risk and enter the unexplored path. This is a time to do everything differently.

Gemini Season begins on the 20th as the Sun ingresses into the chatty Mercury-ruled sign, moving us from Fixed Earth to Mutable Air. Exchange of ideas and information gets us social and sets the stage for the arrival of Uranus in Gemini at the beginning of July. What can we learn through the lens of others? Big picture mentality is the gift of the Aquarius ruler, the higher octave of Mercury, and we are being future primed.

The big change occurs on the 24th as Saturn leaves Pisces and enters Aries, following the path of Neptune. The karmic Time Lord will retrograde back across the Pisces/Aries cusp in September, asking us to review the dream we are committing to. What is my spiritual duty? Saturn stations direct in November and moves closer to the Saturn/Neptune conjunction, which perfects at the Aries 0° point in February 2026. Saturn is bringing the substance for our visions to become viable.

Mercury moves swiftly through Taurus and, after only 15 days in the sign, returns home as it enters Gemini on the 25th. Just in time for the Gemini New Moon on the 26th at 6° of the sign. Intentional connection and exchange are the themes of this new lunar cycle. During the lunation, the power of words is supported as the Moon and Sun are conjoined with Mercury and trine to Pluto retrograde. Just the day after, on the 30th, Mercury meets the heart of our Galaxy star creating a Cazimi at 9° Gemini and ending the month with an aha moment.
