Virgo Full Moon Lunar Eclipse-release the righteous indignation

Red-tinted full moon with text "Virgo Full Moon Lunar Eclipse" overlaid. Dark background emphasizes the eclipse and text.

It is March 2nd, and I haven’t even put out my monthly aspect article. This month is the 10th anniversary of my Mom‘s passing, and my Dad is currently dying from end-stage metastatic cancer. I found out on February 3rd as Uranus stationed direct at 27° of Taurus, conjunct my Sun. It’s been super fast and karmically surreal since then, but I wanted to at least take the time to share my perspective on a pretty important event, the South Node Lunar Eclipse in Virgo…

The second Eclipse of 2026 occurs on March 3rd at 6:38 AM EST at 12 degrees 54 minutes of Virgo. Where is that degree in your chart? Any aspects to important planets or points? A Full Moon South Node Eclipse is a particularly potent lunar cycle culmination that doesn’t question; it clears. We have been experiencing Eclipses primarily in the polarity of Pisces and Virgo since September of 2024 and this window will close in February of 2027. This is the "blood" of the karmic past in Virgo, and it really drives home the theme of letting go of what we can no longer control, coupled with a realization of what is no longer ours to carry, cure, or correct. Not only is this Moon occurring close (within 4 degrees) to its own South Node, Mercury, the ruling planet of this lunation, is currently retrograde in the sign of Pisces. This is an echoing message, reminding us to trust our intuition when we don’t know the facts. In this axis of fact versus faith, it is a time to lean into the FAITH. Even though the details are hard to come by with Mercury in its sign of fall, the Shapeshifter planet will meet with the heart of the Sun in a Cazimii by the week's end. This illumination with our galaxy star will provide insights into the house that Virgo occupies in our own birth chart. This is not total clarity, but it is a beginning.

We have spent a year and a half trying to let go of the Virgo archetypal instinct to figure it all out. The fix-it nature is no longer viable. Eclipses are fated, detsined events that are out of our control. However, the personal planets show us our part, and they are all currently in Pisces minus the Moon. The Piscean influence is asking us to trust in an unseen future plan that is currently beyond our comprehension. Urging us move forward in faith despite the uncertainty, as opposed to the Virgo tendency to control, critique, and judge. The strong water influence around this Full Moon encourages us to be brave enough to lean into compassion despite the despair; to nurture ourselves and others to the best of our ability. That is the North Node pull.

Let’s take a look at some other aspects and their implications. In addition to retro Mercury in nebulous Pisces, we have another water influence from the great benefic Jupiter. The planet of luck and abundance is transiting the sign of Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon, and will station direct on March 10th. A family history of unhealthy and untrue stories finds the truth. What are we emotionally invested in, and what truly nurtures us? With this giant making big moves shortly after the Lunar Eclipse, we will begin to feel the liberation of letting go of any outdated familial programming, timelines, and perhaps even generational curses. What is no longer our obligation is being revealed. We can ask ourselves: What is my part in my family‘s path? The wisdom of Jupiter is big! What has this benevolent teacher shown so far? The other side of this station is the potential for more emotional honesty and maturity.

Venus, our other benefic planet, is currently transiting through Pisces and in an exact sextile to Uranus, now moving direct, at 27° of Taurus. These signs work well together, and with an aspect that allows for a sudden pivot away from our antiquated values, we may soon find ourselves drawn to those who are far different from our usual type of friends and intimate connections. Uranus is on its way out of the fixed Earth sign and preparing to ingress into the sign of Gemini at the end of April. How have we upgraded our arena of love and money, romance and resources? A radical non-conventional approach to these themes is the vibe moving forward. Mars moved into the sign of Pisces on March 2nd, just a day before the Full Moon Eclipse. This small, but mighty planet is in a separating square to Uranus in Taurus. Unlike his cosmic lover Venus, which is in a supportive aspect to Uranus, this is a hard aspect we’re moving through. One that can range from sudden emotional volatility to complete disassociation. Find the midpoint. When you’re not sure what to do, don’t do anything. More will be revealed!

Here is the hope in these very uncertain times when believing in anything seems like an impossibility. On March 6th, Venus leaves Pisces and moves into the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries to meet up with Saturn and Neptune. Just four days later, Jupiter leaves retrograde in Cancer and is headed towards an ingress into the Fixed Fire sign of Leo. These are the two most beneficial planets in our solar system. This represents an action-oriented direct hit to the heart of the matter. Mercury will bring the clarity as it stations direct and leaves its shadow. As Aries Season arrives, perhaps we will successfully stop micromanaging what is no longer ours to handle and hone in on a singular purpose. One that makes us feel alive and awakens us from the saturation and slumber of the past three years (or even 12). These beneficial planets will bring us back into the body as they slowly but surely guide us to the path of liberation and freedom: a more fulfilling one. It all starts to make sense. It starts with this South Node karmic Lunar Eclipse. The first step is clearing the mental clutter. Let it go.
