The first Eclipse of 2026 occurs on February 17th, when we have an out-of-sign Eclipse at 28° of Aquarius. It is out of sign because the Lunar Nodes don’t shift into the axis of Aquarius and Leo until July, so consider this one a preview, a foreshadowing, and a glimpse at what’s to come over the next two years. Eclipses serve to remove obstacles from our path, and in the radical sign of Aquarius, this could be anything that prevents us from future possibilities. Pathways we didn't even know we needed can appear, as elevated frequencies and cosmic downloads come in to heighten our conscious awareness. It is an urge to move into the role of the observer and integrate the new timeline. With Saturn, the ancient ruler of Aquarius before the discovery of Uranus, now out of Pisces and moving into Aries, approaching the long-anticipated conjunction to Neptune at the Aries 0° point, it is important to remember that any action has a reaction. Saturn is debilitated in the sign of Aries after all. Through the lens of Aries, we can utilize Saturn's work as a support system, one of creation rather than a destabilizing or demolition.
Aquarius is a Fixed Air sign, and this year, the Fixed signs are finally getting a break. This New Moon Solar Eclipse at 28°Aquarius is in a loose out-of-sign conjunction to Venus and the North Node at 8° of Pisces. I prefer to interpret this energy as a sign that living a fulfilled life of value will now become radically possible. I am double Venus ruled, Uranus stationed direct conjunct my Sun, during my Pisces Nodal return, so this one hits close to home. I am going to lean into the miraculous as opposed to the overwhelming psyop of inconceivable information that continues to pour in. This will only amp up as Uranus, the Aquarius ruler, enters the mutable Air sign of Gemini at the end of April. Discernment is key, and what is true to us as individuals doesn’t have to be true for everyone else. The challenge will be integrating and reinventing with others who see things differently. (or maybe not)
The Aquarius New Moon Solar Eclipse is square to its ruler, Uranus, now moving direct and leaving the sign of Taurus after almost 7 years. As a result, we now have a broader perspective on what truly holds value, and we must turn a corner. As the nodes move through Aquarius and Leo, we will finally have progressive new growth opportunities open up that support sovereignty. The last Eclipse in Aquarius occurred around 2017–18. That was a South Node (letting go of) Eclipse, where we could have experienced a sudden change of course that felt like a loss. However, if we reflect on that time, we will see how we were truly liberated in that area of our lives. Now think back to 2008/9 to recall the energetic signature of the last North Node Eclipse (trying to grasp) in Aquarius. What were the important themes that suddenly appeared during that time that upgraded your life and propelled you to where you are today?
The square to Uranus requires reconciliation of some sort. A futuristic reinvention coupled with a solid construct. Is that even possible? Well, from this point forward, instant opportunities or innovative solutions can suddenly be found through the lens of others. Connections count, and crises always create community. It is important to remain open-minded to doing things differently as the right people start to cross our path. People we may co-create with moving forward. Aquarius is, after all, "of the people, for the people." Together, dreams we never imagined could come true can become possible. I urge us all not to lose faith in our future as the many systems in our society continue to crumble. It all starts now, this month, as we acclimate to the radical Aquarius energy and the New Age that is upon us.
