September Astrology-I can feel it in the Air…

September is a month of moving thoughts, ideas, and fresh new perspectives. We have a total of six Air trines by aspect, and the radical rebel planet Uranus stations retrograde for the first time since entering the Mercury ruled Air sign of Gemini on April 26th of this year. The wildcard planet Uranus will station retrograde at 5° of Gemini and station direct at 1° of Gemini on February 8th of next year, just before the final eclipse in Virgo on February 20, 2027. Virgo is the other Mercury-ruled sign, and when Uranus stations direct 6 months from now, and the Pisces/Virgo Eclipse axis completes, we should all be able to move forward with an elevated plan for reinvention and revolution in the forefront of our minds. Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius, the sign of the collective. For the next 6 to 7 years, humanity will be supported by this planet of upgrade and higher awareness. Typically, when Uranus is moving direct, it symbolizes where we seek our outside sources of help, our gurus and our guides. However, when Uranus is retrograde in a sign ruled by Mercury, it’s akin to our oversoul dropping in, and we become our own guides. We don’t need to seek outside help for the next 6 months; we just need to find them within our own internal consciousness. It’s not that we will be less rebellious or less inclined to follow the rules; this will be a period of review, allowing us to go within and make our own rules.

It’s not all Air and movement as we begin the month of September thanks to the stoic and stern planet Saturn, who’s working like the King of Swords. On September 1st, Mars in Cancer will be in an exact square to Saturn retrograde in Aries at 13°, asking us to reconcile our emotions and make a move with maturity. This square between the two malefic planets is challenging; however, just the day before, on August 31st, the stellar supportive Jupiter/Saturn trine perfected. The trine between the planets of expansion and contraction, Jupiter & Saturn, will play out well until next year with three exact connections; the trine will occur again on April 3rd and July 11th, 2027. This ongoing aspect between the paradoxical planets is part of their synodic cycle; a planetary dance that began during the Great Conjunction in December of 2020 when the brigade of outer planets traveled through Saturn-ruled Capricorn. I believe this dance is an energetic signature of sovereignty, inner authority, and emotional maturity coupled with staying power. One that supports our endeavors as we pursue a higher vision for ourselves and humanity, and most importantly, challenges us to stay commited to our long-term goals. Whatever the difficulties are with Saturn and Mars, there is equal and exceeding support from the ongoing Jupiter/Saturn trine.. Jupiter has a propensity to expand everything that it influences or touches, so the blockades regarding what we want to act on are real, but the benefic giant Jupiter promises a blessing on the other side of the slowdown. When Saturn and Neptune station direct in December, we will realize that we needed the time to review our dreams and commit to our visions. Personal discipline can produce lasting results with this support system if we make steady effort as opposed to operating merely from ego and impulsivity.

Now that we are on the other side of the Eclipse window, waiting for the Virgo New Moon to bring some clarity and set our detailed intentions, we are supported significantly by the astrological Air influences in September. Yes, SIX Air trines this month. A trine is a spiritually supportive aspect; it is an uninterrupted flow of the elementala energies (thought and communication) that requires nothing from us, except perhaps, in this case, open-mindedness. Our personal planets Venus, Mercury (twice), and Mars will all be changing signs this month, and as the Messenger God Mercury leaves its sign of exaltation in Virgo and enters Libra, it will speed through the harmonious Air sign and follow Lady Luck Venus into the Scorpio underworld. They will be preparing for their upcoming retrogrades in the next two months, which will overlap in the sign. It’s about to get deep and may be a little spooky, depending on how much cognitive clearing we have accomplished. As a double-ruled Venus native, I actually anticipate a Venus retrograde in its opposite sign. (It’s quite juicy). Just after the Aries Full Moon at the end of the month on the 26th it’s ruling planet Mars will move out of its detriment in Cancer (Thank the Gods!) and enter the fellow Fire sign of Leo, where we can finally create some movement. The modus operandi when traversing through the Regal sign of Leo should be backed with the utmost integrity. Remember to check those motives!

The bottom line is that September will be a breath of fresh Air with new possibilities and pathways coming in quickly. It’s important to remember to listen to your body amid all that frenetic mental flow. Yes, Saturn adds some seriousness to the unfolding new narrative; Mars is requiring emotional maturity as we take the next right action, but remember, Jupiter in Leo will trine Saturn two more times over the next 12 months, promising a blessing contingent on our ability to operate from a Sovereign Spirit of authenticity as we trudge the road of happy destiny.
