Mercury retrograde in Pisces-a conversation with Destiny

Mercury, the Messenger God, begins its first retrograde phase of 2026, occurring in its entirety in the sign of Pisces. This year, all three Mercury retrogrades will take place in Water signs, indicating a signature theme of listening with the intuitive mind and sensing rather than merely relying on our cognitive understanding: Perception is reality! Mercury is moving through its sign of fall and detriment, meaning it is not good at deciphering this illusory realm, so we must pay close attention as the Shapeshifter planet crosses back over 8-9 degrees of Pisces. This is where the Lunar North Node is currently transiting, and these connections hold clues to something still unseen that pertains to our imagined future.
(Did I mention that my north node is at 8°? This nodal return feels beyond supernatural!)
Mercury will meet up with the other two personal planets, Venus and Mars, as well as a brief moment of clarity in a Cazimi with the Sun. These feel like personal messages as opposed to collective themes. What do I believe is of value? How can I implement a plan, and when is the right time to act on it? Our galaxy's star is illuminating something that is beyond our comprehension, asking us to conceive the inconceivable. Keep in mind that Mercury is the only neutral planet. It can traverse the purest light and the darkest depths with equal ease. It is the planet of duality, the Yin and the Yang, the good and the bad that exist within us all. It behooves us to intentionally be aware of our mental and emotional vibration over the next six weeks. This is a time to be conscious of what we watch, read, listen to, and say. Nothing is as it seems, and our intuition is being both heightened and tested to the likes of which we have probably never experienced. (remember who you are) Discernment is imperative, and patience will certainly serve us well. I, for one, intend to allow the Universe/Creator/Light/Source/Benevolent God of my understanding to pleasantly surprise me.

2/12: Mercury conjunct North Node at 9° Pisces (pre-shadow)
3/17: Mercury conjunct North Node at 8° Pisces (retrograde)
3/23: Mercury conjunct North Node at 8° Pisces (post-shadow)
Pay attention! These nebulous messages regarding our future dreams and destiny will be clarified post-retrograde shadow. Have eyes to see and ears to hear. May the unconscious become conscious.
