MARS enters Capricorn

Did you feel the energy shift in the last 24 hours? On 12/15- Mars entered the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn, and it’s on! Mars is our planet of identity and physicality and is exalted in this sign, so the driven determination to get the job done will seem more like a passion project and less like a chore. The energy to initiate our desires will seem like second nature. No second-guessing! Go where your authentic self leads! This is calling us to commit to our own dreams and priming us for the new mission, duty, or path of our future self come February. Don’t forget, this little red planet of war is still orbiting out of bounds until January, so ego-check those motives!

This hard-working, highly motivated planet will be moving through Capricorn for the next 6 weeks, fueling intense discipline, coupled with strategic focus that can be a catalyst for constructing structures that support lasting success. Our persistence will pay off, especially now that Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, has left retrograde and is moving direct towards Aries, the Mars-ruled sign! This feels like mutual receptivity. By the end of the month, fate kicks in and adds a little fuel to our inner fire. On December 29th, Mars will sextile the North node of destiny in Pisces, which means it will automatically form a trine to the South node in Virgo. Consider this a cosmic push due to the ease of letting go of antiquated ideas and plans of the past. A sextile to the lunar North node of destiny requires us to show up, so pay attention to what’s going on around this date, especially if you have strong planets in Capricorn, Pisces, or Virgo. On January 13th of next year, Mars will square Chiron in Aries, allowing us to move a muscle and change a thought. If we are not sure exactly what we’re moving towards, the clarity will come around January 18th as Mercury meets up with Mars for the third time since Mercury began its final 2025 retrograde in September.
