August Astrology-Cosmic reset and Karmic realignment

In August, we are set on seeking connection to a healthier, healed, and more authentic version of ourselves. This endeavor is stellarly supported by challenging yet transformative aspects, stations, and ingresses. Mercury retrograde is currently traveling with the Sun in Leo, opposing Pluto in Aquarius. This powerful time of review and reformation can be quite intense, but is balanced by the two benefic planets, Jupiter and now Venus, together in the emotionally comforting sign of Cancer. The Sun and Mercury in its backspin will be creating supportive sextiles to the outer planets (most also in retrograde) along with the Wounded Healer Chiron. Mercury will station Direct on August 11th with heart healing information that promotes a radical reinvention of our values, self-worth, and integrity. These insights are allowing our most authentic heart-centered expressions to take hold.

Mars leaves the detail-oriented Earth sign of Virgo and enters the Venus-ruled Air sign of Libra on the 6th, allowing our physical and mental processes to find some balance. The little yet mighty red planet of physicality and ego identity immediately forms a Grand Air trine to Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius upon entry. This master configuration creates an uninterrupted flow of spiritual support as downloads and inspiration from our higher consciousness drop in, delivering progressive knowledge coupled with long-sought clarity. We can become equipped to operate in a higher vibrational frequency within ourselves and our connections with others in the world. Stimulating conversations and exchange of ideas open us up to new collaborations and partnerships that are showing up on the timeline now. These crossings of paths serve to support our future growth endeavors. We must be open-minded to the possibility of doing things differently with people we would not previously have considered. What is our new objective and is it fair? Are we mentally and physically moving towards our intended target? Who are we willing to work with?

The Aquarius Full Moon on the 9th at 17° in the revolutionary Air sign is a culmination of epiphanies and new ideas that have been flowing in since the Leo New Moon two weeks ago. A background influencing theme of course correction comes from Mars as he opposes Saturn and Neptune retrograde in Aries, allowing us to recalibrate our plans and set foot on a new path that feels more aligned with our sovereign self. Where are we exerting our power? What are our motives? What do we have to share with the world, and are we ready? The connections we are forming require reciprocity in their energetic exchange at this point. Our like-minded tribe is becoming more visceral as new players form our upgraded support system. Of the people, for the people.

August 11th holds the potential to be the luckiest day of the month as the two benefic planets Venus and Jupiter conjoin at 14° of Cancer. This is an auspicious aspect of optimism and heart-opening that can provide emotional healing, especially close to home and with those whom we consider kindred. This beautiful aspect of the beneficial planets provides a feel-good flow, allowing us to send and receive love in a way that aligns with our emotional soul body.

This magnificent conjunction occurs just after Mercury completes its retrograde review and stations direct at 4° in the big-hearted sign of Leo. We can bravely embrace the mental power to share our creative genius. It's time to face our fears and open our hearts to bold displays that can attract the love and abundance we desire. This can be embodied with a new self-awareness due to Mercury's insights that can provide us with a new perspective on sovereign power.

We have a week of reprieve mid-month and then an elemental shift occurs as the Sun leaves Leo and enters Virgo on the 22nd, moving us from Fixed Fire to Mutable Earth. Virgo Season is excellent for refocusing our goals in physical health as well as emotional wellness. How can we embrace a new routine or system that will reset and soothe our nervous system? The South Node is transiting the sign, so it is important not to retreat to the comfort zones of the past. New structures are ready to be integrated that will allow us to show up for others without depleting ourselves in the process. There is healing to be found as we implement a more beneficial mindset in our service to others. Meaningful work only moving forward. It is imperative not to overthink everything. This is a time to break away from old patterns, and it doesn't have to be perfect. Move a muscle, change of thought.

As the Sun ingresses into Virgo, a New Moon forms when the Sun and Moon become congruent at 0° of the sign on the 23rd. This is a very karmic and fated lunation with our intentions best suited around recalibration. This New Moon forms a rare YOD pattern (finger of God, finger of fate) by creating an inconjunct (quincunx) to Saturn and Neptune, both retrograde in Aries, and also an inconjunct to Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. These aspects requiring adjustment are supported by a sextile from Pluto to Saturn/Neptune at the base. Our luminaries at the apex of this YOD are square to Uranus in Gemini, giving us access to the big picture potential. This is the pivot point; where we turn the corner and embrace our inner rebel with a cause. There is a background influencing aspect as Venus in late degrees Cancer creates a square to Chiron retrograde in Aries. What new intentional path of growth are we willing to choose? How are we valuing ourselves in our emotional needs and also considering the needs of others? What must we leave behind to access a newfound truth, integrity, and form of self-sufficiency?

Venus will leave the comforts of Cancer and enter the bold sign of Leo on the 25th. Within 48 hours of entry, she will create a Fire trine to Saturn/Neptune in Aries, a sextile to Uranus in Gemini, and an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius! Lady Luck is feeling large and in charge! These radical connections allow us to revise the systems that support our revamped values. Self-awareness takes center stage here. How are we ready to embody our higher self? What are our new ideals in romance and monetary requirements? What do we consider abundant living at this point? What uncomfortable revelations must we be willing to face and move through to alchemize our power? Who and what are we courageous enough to commit to? Do we feel capable of opening our hearts to a radical new version of beneficial love? Are we operating from a place of emotional maturity and integrity? We can leave August brave enough to begin our new choices on our lifepath as we make emboldened decisions about our future.
