Taurus New Moon 4/27 at 7 degrees

This radical week leading up to the New Moon in Taurus is anything but typical for the grounded Earth sign. We should be feeling more stable however, there is the heightened tension of a fixed T-square being strongly activated. This is largely due to the third and final Mars/Pluto opposition perfecting just 18 hours before the lunation. The Sun in Taurus is at the fulcrum of this powerful configuration which could make us feel like the ground beneath our feet is anything but solid. This polarizing aspect between the God of War in Leo and the planet of Soul transformation in Aquarius holds so much personal potential, contingent on our right use of power and ability to act from a place of emotional maturity. Self seeking goals must be balanced with our efforts towards the greater good of all. Integrity is key!

Karmic lessons of self-worth collide with the desire to be seen as Venus conjoins Saturn in Pisces for the third time this year. Think back to January 18th when Venus was direct, then April 7th during retrograde. Now as Venus prepares to leave her sign of exaltation, we will have the final reality check on the 24th. This last alignment of Lady Luck with the Lord of karma (also conjoined to the north node of destiny) concludes the testing of our romance, resources, and core values. Venus is the ruler of the New Moon and must move through the eye of the needle under the influence of Mars in a power struggle with Pluto.

The illusions of the past are dissolving as we struggle to overcome a resistance to change. The fixed nature of the potent astrological aspects ask us to check our motives and ego attachments in our desire to obtain and succeed. In order to successfully navigate the energies, we must remain grounded and centered. Self-awareness must supersede our impulses and actions.
